This is our way of giving back to community -- we invite you to enjoy the peace and beauty of natural surroundings.
Trails open daily from dawn to dusk. Open year-round. Mowed in summer; groomed in winter (ideal for snowshoes and cross-country skis) when weather permits.
Here is a screen capture overview of our trails. You can pick up a copy of our most recent trail map at either parking lot trail entrance or print one off (under the 'trail map' navigation bar) in advance so you have time to plan your route. For your comfort, there are five 'privies' located around the OUTER LOOP.
For example, pack a picnic and plan to complete the OUTER LOOP (about 6km) with a stop approximately midway to snack/rest at the CABINS REST AREA. Cabins are private (not available to rent). The gazebo, picnic table and docks are open to the public. This tour would take around 2 hours not including the break time.
A great route for birdwatchers is to follow CREEK TRAIL west to HOMESTEAD REST AREA, rest a while, then return following BARN back to CONSERVATORY. This is a short route about 1.5km but we have spotted as many as 26 species in one hour along that route.
A beautiful short route is to cross the bridge when you get to top of entry hill, go straight onto CREEK NORTH and head west following the creek (which is technically an 'intermittent watercourse') until it T-intersects; then, turn left/south and RETURN ON CREEK TRAIL back to the entrance hill. This route is about 1km long.

We invite you to enjoy our 430+ acres of privately owned managed forest and wildlife reserve with over 17km of recreational hiking trails encompassing three distinct micro-environments (lake, forest and plateau).
Visit, explore and enjoy these gorgeous, natural surroundings.
Bring your camera or binoculars as wildlife sightings, particularly birds, are quite frequent.

Please, DO send your photos to us to include on the website ... we would love to share and enjoy them. We have installed several trail cameras located in areas of wildlife activity and are hoping to, eventually, include a live cam on one of the bird boxes in the future.
A large public parking area ensures plenty of space ... so many visitors can enjoy the trails including organized hiking groups. Don't forget to pick up your map at the Trail Head entrance. Parking and access to the trails is free.
Your dog is most welcome. It may be off-leash as long as you can control and leash it if other hikers meet you. No one wants a dog running at, or jumping on them! Remember ... there are people who are afraid of, allergic to or simply not fond of dogs. Be courteous. Please poop 'n' scoop (or use a stick to push poop off the trail) as a courtesy to other hikers.
Thank you for respecting our property and efforts over the past two decades to create this sanctuary for wildlife and humans to share and enjoy year-round.
Please stay on trails and DO NOT DISTURB flora or fauna. Try to go around animal footprints, interesting mushrooms and scat so others can 'discover' them as well.
