NEW TRAIL UPDATE — #15 Escarpment Trail (.5 km trail connectingĀ Beaver Pond to Escarpment Ponds) is fully roughed in; bridges have been completed; we still need to complete ‘ramps’ to bridges and do some levelling/filling. This is definitely our most beautiful trail to date … you will love it! Wildlife are already using it as a short-cut and we’ve seen a wide variety of birds.
WILDLIFE — sadly, we found a deadĀ ruffed grouse on Conservatory Trail this morning while mowing. As is our tradition, we photographed it and have gently laid it to rest in the ‘arms’ of a large tree’s roots (where it will quickly serve as a nice meal for an unseen nocturnal animal).
