Inner Loop West at Big Rock Trail

TRAIL CONDITIONS = excellent!

Trails are dry, freshly mowed with very few insects. It’s a perfect time of year for a little hike that includes a picnic at the Escarpment Ponds gazebo or at Big Rock. Or, bring a book and a beverage, sit on the dock at Escarpment Pond and relax surrounded by the sound of birds and frogs.

We’ve completed posting our ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN (111) trail signs so you’ll have no problem locating where you are and/or where you’re heading next! You’ll find trail maps at both public entrances off Grey Rd. 1.

Please note that “Escarpment Trail” does not yet exist. It is our intention to create that final trail this summer … most likely in August.

This is a fabulous year to spot bobolink, red-breasted grosbeak, cedar waxwing, brown thrushes, wild turkey, blue heron and American redstarts on the trails.

REMINDER … since, sadly, it’s happened again recently 🙁 🙁
